This girl’s got killer style. We could literally scroll through Cat Williams Instagram feed forever! Read up on her favorite pieces from our Fall 2016 Collection, and how she styles them to fit the trends she’s currently coveting.
This fall, I’ve been all about the Athleisure trend. Blame models Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, but it’s something that’s clearly catching on. Whether I’m heading home from the gym or grabbing lunch with friends, I’ve been leaning towards ensembles that feel comfortable without compromising my style.
To help transition my wardrobe into the cooler season, I’ve partnered with Bench Canada, one brand that really understands the whole performance wear as everyday wear trend. To get started, I headed to the Bench boutique at the CF Eaton Centre in Toronto, where I pulled my favorite pieces from their Fall ’16 collection.
For my first look, I paired the Facility Crew Neck sweater in Marl Grey (Shh! It’s Men’s) with the Get Up And Go Jacket in Jet Black and matching Actout B Leggings. A minimalist at heart, I kept my colour palette concentrated around tones of grey, black and white – an easy go-to for fall.
I’m a huge fan of the BENCH leggings, which come in a range of shades and patterns, including the speckled grey Enactment C Leggings and the eye-catching Strobe Leggings. They’re great to layer with an oversized sweater and jacket draped over the shoulders. I combined mine with a pair of muted sneakers to add to the overall fashion meets function ensemble.
For my other look, I paired the Sporadic Zip Thru sweater in Pale Grey Marl with the Trick Gilet puffer vest in Jet Black and the Prolongation Pant in the same dark hue. To create the perfect city girl vibe, I added a pair of reflective shades and strappy heels. I especially love the zip sweater, which is incredibly soft and non-restrictive, as well as the cinched ankle pant, which can be easily transitioned from the daytime into the evening.
Adding onto my look, I tied the denim Dweller Shirt in Gy Mid Rinse Grey around my waist and grabbed onto the tasseled Liberated Mini Backpack in Jet Black. Both items are great to accessorize just about any look, with the denim shirt giving that much-wanted pop of color and the bucket bag-shaped backpack adding a structured, but not too structured silhouette.
All in all, the Bench fall ’16 collection presents the perfect combination of comfort and style, with its fashion-forward structures and more modern, more stylish designs.
